Spearheaded the launch and growth of Studio X, Royal Dutch Shell’s Global innovation studio reimagining the future of work in exploration. As part of this launch, we developed and brought to market three initial product businesses across data science, geoscience and entrepreneurship; Xeek, XCover and SixLab. Xeek is a crowdsourcing platform that challenges geoscientists, data scientists, and software engineers to build machine learning tools that solve energy’s biggest data challenges. 

Position Held: October 2019 - November 2020

Responsibilities included:

  • Roadmapped and executed robust digital user acquisition strategy per monthly challenge across PPC, Facebook, LinkedIn and Reddit, building community of 1000s of data scientists

  • Campaign optimization leading to 60%+ drop in CPA costs while increasing conversion rates and other related engagement benchmarks (challenge participation rate)

  • Developed product marketing, product development feedback cycle to continually asses and implement learnings from customer data

  • Active user base competing in 8+ challenges within first year, drove multi-million value.

  • MVT and A/B testing in coordination with design and product leads to build dynamic and responsive lo-fi platform (Webflow, Zapier, Airtable, Google Tag Manager, Contentful)

  • Robust User Persona development, value proposition testing, rapid prototyping

Key Milestones:

Launched lo-fi platform engaging 500+ High profile leads in a dynamic responsive challenge within two months of launch

Built user base of 1000s of geoscientists, data scientists and entrepreneurs, investors, academic institutions and partners.

Drove Multi-Million value to corporate partner within first year of operations.
